Job Description
Our Christian school is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Part-Time History teacher to teach Grades K-2. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing the spiritual, academic, and social growth of our students while instilling a love for history and a biblical worldview.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an engaging and comprehensive history curriculum that is age-appropriate for Grades K-2.
- Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments that align with state and national standards and reflect a biblical worldview.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of our students.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation, inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress, provide feedback and support, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child’s academic and behavioral development.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Christian principles and a commitment to integrating them into the classroom.
- Experience teaching history to Grades K-2 or experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and adhere to the school’s code of conduct.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or license in the state where the school is located.
