Job Description
Our gymnastics center is seeking a highly motivated Gymnastics Summer Camp Director and Counselor to oversee and manage our summer camps. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gymnastics and working with children, as well as experience in managing and coordinating summer camps.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive gymnastics program for summer camps that is age-appropriate and aligns with the goals and objectives of the center.
- Plan and organize daily activities, schedules, and lesson plans for the summer camps.
- Train, manage, and supervise other counselors and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
- Monitor and assess camper progress, provide feedback and support, and communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, medical information, and incident reports.
- Manage and order necessary equipment and supplies for the summer camps.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of all campers and staff.
- Attend meetings and participate in training sessions as required.
- Counsel and mentor campers, creating a positive and supportive environment for all participants.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting.
- Experience in gymnastics coaching or instruction.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to pass a background check and adhere to the center’s code of conduct.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
